St. Edward's Walks Off to Victories

AUSTIN, TX. – It came down to the last at-bats twice with Lincoln ahead, but the Blue Tigers couldn’t close the door in either game, as St. Edward’s rallied to win game one, 4-3, in their last trip to the dish and did the same thing in game two, rallying for the 11-10 victory with five in the seventh to complete the four-game weekend sweep Sunday afternoon at Lucian-Hamilton Field. Chowan Drops Season Opener to Coker

HARTSVILLE, SC - The Chowan baseball team opened the 2010 season with two tough road losses today at Coker College. The Hawks fell with final scores of 11-8 and 9-5 in the non-conference doubleheader. Chowan tallied 23 hits over two games but Coker managed to pick up runs when it counted to sweep the doubleheader. AUSTIN, TX.—The Lincoln University baseball team got off to the start they wanted Saturday, opening up the doubleheader with a pair of runs, but after that, St. Edward’s rolled up the next 27 runs over the course of the first game and into the second game to complete the sweep, 16-2, and 12-2 in Heartland Conference action at Lucian-Hamilton Field.
